Christmas

Well, we had both sides of the family over for chrissy this year and preparation was hectic. There were 15 people for lunch, and they arrived late so they were still here when the other 30 people arrived for dinner.
It was good to see my reletives again as some of them live far away and we don't see them much.

Something good has come out of my UAI already. One of my cousins bet five dollars that I did better than her, and she beat me by two (57), so I'm $5 richer.

The Big Day

Well, UAI has come out and I have to say "OUCH!".
I knew I could never write essays very well and my school rankings showed that but looking at my HSC marks in my previous post there is no way you would guess my UAI.

NSW UAI: 55.00

There you go. I guess I'm going to have to get a job.

Boredom

Isn't it funny what boredom can force you into? I've been reading books by authors we studied in English, and I find myself critically analysing the story and characters. It's sad.

I decided a while ago (before HSC exams) that I would compile a big glossary of all the terms I know so that I could use it to find fancy words for essays. I find myself so bored that I may keep doing it anyway. I'll post it here somewhere.

I'm also designing a Mount Druitt Community Calendar. It gives me something to do. Maybe I'll post some of that too.

Anticipation

I don't know why I chose Oliver Cromwell. I guess it just stuck after listening to Monty Python.

Anyway, I thought I would try the blogging thing out, I'm not really one for it but who knows, it might stick like my name.

My mother took me aside just then and gave me the whole "I'll still love you and be happy no matter what your results are". As those who know me may have found, I don't really stress or worry too much about that kind of thing, but her speech made me kind of nervous. Something about a parent saying something because they feel they have to.

For those of you out there who are not looking forward to finding out, I thought I maght try to make you feel better. Here are a couple of my school rankings

English (Advanced) 121/121
Legal Studies 28/28

From memory I didn't get higher than 5th last in any of my subjects but I don't really care, possibly why I got the results I did. Anyway, good luck to all of you.
